The first public hearing or inquiry into the conduct of the Papua New Guinea (PNG) 2022 National General Elections is all set for next Tuesday and Wednesday. The Special Parliamentary Committee on Elections has put out a written advertisement seeking submissions from the public on their views and feedback on the 2022 Elections. The deadline for the submission is tomorrow Wednesday. The Special Parliamentary Committee on elections was established last year after the formation of the 11th Government with the aim to learn from lessons of past elections, especially in 2022, and prepare for a free fair, and safe election in the future. The committee comprises nine members and is Chaired by East Sepik Governor Allan Bird, his Deputy Abau MP Sir Puka Temu, other members include Pomio MP Elias Kapavore, Mul/Baiyer MP Jacob Maki, Bogia's Robert Naguri, Manus Governor Charlie Benjamin , Okapa MP Saki Soloma, Dei MP Steven Pim and Hiri /Koiari's Keith Iduhu.
