Registering a Company in Papua New Guinea

Many people including locals and foreigners are interested in doing Business in Papua New Guinea and forming a company is not a rocket science. Anyone can form a company to do business in Papua New Guinea. 

Below are few steps on registering your Company.

All company registrations in Papua New Guinea are taken care by Investment Promotion Authority (IPA). Anyone  wishing to register a company has to contact the people at IPA. Here we outline few tips in forming a company.

A proposed company must have the following:

1. A Name

2. One or more shares

3. One or more shareholders

4. One or more directors (A company is not required to appoint a secretary, but may do so if they wish to.)

Any person, either alone or together with another person, may apply for the registration of a company.
