The National Televisio Service, Kundu 2 Televisions was establish in 2008 and commenced broadcast on the 16th of September. The television service is managed by the National Broadcasting Corporation of Papua New Guinea. Kundu 2 Television broadcast its programs from Port Moresby and is distributed via V-SAT around the country.
National Broacating Corporation
The National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) was established and funded by the Parliament of PNG to provide a national radio service for Papua New Guinea, under the provisions of the Broadcasting Corporation Act. The functions of the Corporation
…provide balanced, objective and impartial broadcasting services within and, if so directed by the Head of State, acting on advice, outside the country, and in so doing to take, in the interests of the community, all such measures as, in the opinion of the Corporation, are conducive to the full development of suitable broadcasting programs.
To link with its audience, the NBC has two main services: National Radio formally called Karai National Radio, operating nationally on short wave (SW), on AM and FM in 19 provinces and Kundu2 Television Services operating in 17 provinces of the country.
