PNG's Morobe Governor Luther Wenge wants the Government to allocate 100 per cent Land Tax to his province. Govenor Wenge directed his question to Treasurer Ian Lingstucky today on the floor of Parliament. He said money derived from the land tax can be used to address some of the issues in Morobe province. Treasurer Ian Lingstucky in response says all the seven Tax Schemes employed in the country contributes about 14.9 billion kina as tax revenues, thus it wont be possible at this stage to grant Governor Wenge's request.
