"O'Neill & Namah - May be 'Png's only Better Deal' into 2022" Sir Michael led PNG under Pangu Pati into Political Independence Sir Michael then, was with his own Crop of Visionary Leaders. They wanted PNG to be able to make Its Own Decisions.(political) They wanted PNG to Earn Its Own Keeps.(economical) The Pangu Pati Wheel failed to deliver in the latter years because, there was None of those Patriotic Loyalist Visionary leaders left in Pangu Pati to move Png forward. The only good thing left for Pangu was its independence legacy. Sir Michael saw it, and moved into another gear to create National Alliance Party, thinking that would be the Vehicle to Achieve better results for Png's growth. Again, advisors and politicians not sharing Sir Michael's Visionary Focus for PNG filled up the National Alliance Party seats. The accumulative years of free windfall in economical gain was Nature's Blessing to Sir Michael from 2002 to 2011. The Good Lord seemed to be patronising with Sir Michael, blessed PNG with years of plenty in the extractive mineral resources sector. Again, unfortunately, Sir Michael was surrounded with villainous selfish vision less Politicians. Over 8 years of National Alliance Leadership with huge financial windfall advantage at their disposal, NA lead the nation Nearly to Death, seen internationally as 'a Failing Nation Syndrome'.
No one could understand to this day, where and how all those surplus Kinas and Toes disappeared to. Sir Michael, under so much pressure in trying to understand the fruitless outcome of NA's national economic strategy, went down seriously ill and spent his remaining Prime Ministerial term in comatose in a Singaporean Hospital. That set the stage for a team of Politically Willing & Focused Individuals to rise up. In the midst of the political chaos, arose Belden Namah and Peter O'Neill. Honourable Belden Namah, with crude revolutionary unrefined leadership potential, but a willingness to lead the nation out of stagnancy, over reacted to the situation with eagerness, that though successfully contributed to a leadership change, resulted in his preceding political years fighting legally inch by inch to remain in political leadership albeit mundanely, until the take over of Government by James Marape as PM into an empty Pangu Leadership Chair, promoting BN this time with more refined wisdom as the most vocal Opposition Leader of today. Honourable Peter O'Neill successfully moved PNG out of the dustiness of 'a Failed Nation' cartoon display, transforming it into the FASTEST DEVELOPING NATION IN THE PACIFIC. Inheriting the economy from mismanagement by National Alliance, Peter O'Neill used the 'Leftovers' to rebuild confidence in governance and investment for the nation. As the Surpluses under NA, dwindled under the heavy political policies taking roots, Peter O'Neill invested in Infrastructural Development, Health, Education & DSIP/PSIPs, the key economic tools for growth towards financial self dependency. The road to PNC's emerging foothold in Png's fast growth in less than a decade, also saw the ugly appearances of greedy political figures, many of them popping out of selfish wonder inquisitive, how each one would benefit from the unfolding opportunities through now numerous government contracts and investment deals along the party political lines. Dissatisfied from not receiving expected perks & privileges under Peter O'Neill's stranglehold on the forward economic wheel, political rebellion was incited from within and around PNC with party politics played and promoted before the interest of the whole nation. Wealth amassment became the central political focus and agenda among unsatisfied suspicious 10% aligned politicians and cronies that finally aided James Marape into party rebellion, forcing O'Neill to tender his resignation thus, began the current ROAD TO TURMOIL in PNG. For these two controversial, but patriotically resolute political leaders, they have combined again in the most likely of a political platform, in the Opposition Government ranks. While the Marape Coalition Government is coaxing, luring and reaping apart the once stabilised PNG economy, the ordinary suffering people are slowly turning back to look for a hopeful come back by the Two Vocal and Promising Political Figures, Namah and O'Neill. Amongst the mayhem of Covid-19 Excuses, the falling and failing economic opportunities and struggling SME and informal sector and low investment confidence instituted under the Marape Prime Ministership, PNGs troubling heartbeat needs the likes of Belden Namah and Peter O'Neill, to reset the National Focus smoothly into the 2022 National General Elections, to a better post 2022 for PNG.
