The National Court has adjourned the contempt case against Acting Police Commissioner, Geoffrey Vaki to the 11th of next month.
The case was filed last Friday by suspended Commissioner Crimes, Thomas Eluh who said the actions of Vaki and the Prime Minister interfering with the police investigation are contemptuous. Judge Ere Kariko said, the court will hear the case against the arrest warrant on the Prime Minister that was adjourned to Wednesday, as they are related. The judge also said he is aware of changes that has taken place and the orders imposed by the court last week. The court may take action and charge those disobeying orders with contempt in the face of the court. Other respondents are Attorney General Ano Pala, Police Minster Robert Atiyafa and the National Executive Council. Comments are closed.
