Former Bougainville Revolutionary Army Commander, Ismael Toroama has surged past the 40 thousand mark in the Autonomous Bougainville Government Presidential race, after collecting more than 2,500 votes in the 19th exclusion. Mr. Toroama managed to collect 2,587 votes from former ABG Premier James Tanis, when he was eliminated, to bring his total to 41,668 votes. In second placing is Fr. Simon Dumarinu who managed to collect 2, 700 votes from this exclusion, to bring his total votes at 25, 863 votes. This is a difference of 15, 805 votes between the first and second placing candidates. Former PNG Sports Foundation Executive Director Peter Tsiamalili Jnr, who has been running outside the top five position before the eliminations, has now inched his way into the top three position, and is now third on 17, 302 votes. Thomas Raivet who was in third placing for sometime, has now dropped back to fourth with 17, 106 votes, while Fidelis Semoso is fifth with 16, 069 votes. Former Bougainville Regional MP Joe Lera is in sixth placing with 11, 924 votes, and he will be the next one to be eliminated in the 20th Exclusion this afternoon.
