The Telikom PNG today announced that they are reducing further its wholesale costs for their Internet and Data users in Papua New Guinea and they can expect a significant drop in their monthly costs following the announcement by Telikom Wholesale to their Internet Service Providers operating in PNG.
Head of Telikom Wholesale Wency Noruka said, the reduction in the wholesale price is a great outcome. The wholesale price is being reduced by up to 33-percent off the current wholesale price for data. Mr. Noruka says the new price regime will be effective on July first, hoping the reduction encourages new internet providers to enter the market. Telikom's Head of Marketing Xavier Victor says Telikom has made progress in its 4-point turnaround strategy of Network Efficiency, People Capability, Product Innovation and Competitiveness and more agile and customer-focused business, and wants internet and data consumers across PNG to benefit from the efficiency gains realized to date. Mr Victor said the reduction in Telikom's wholesale rate should be attractive to small to Medium Enterprises wanting to develop an online presence.
