Cabinet has appointed Solomon Tato as the new Provincial Administrator for Eastern Highlands.
Public Service Minister Sir Puka Temu says Mr Tato's appointment was based on national interests following a lengthy delay in the appointment process. Sir Puka however says Mr Tato's appointment is yet to be formalized by Cabinet. He says continuous rejection of qualified applicants by the Provincial Executive Council had caused the delay. The Minister says the delay has caused frustration and disharmony among public servants, leaders and the people of Eastern Highlands. Mr Tato will take over from Alowin Inamoi who has been acting on the position for sometime. Comments are closed.
