One of the suspects from the 7 that robbed a Chinese owned shop last week has told police in Buka that he will surrender if he talks with Autonomous Region of Bougainville Government.
Police boss in North Bougainville Inspector Kingsley Lua said that the suspect called the police this morning demanding to talk to an ABG minister. Lua said that that he told the suspect to surrender the high powered guns that are in their possession in order for the police to negotiate with a minister. Lua added that he has spoken with the ABG police minister Willie Masi and he agreed to speak with other ministers to speak with the suspect. Meanwhile, Lua said that he is not happy with what the suspect and his 6 accomplices have done. “This is not the way to go about doing things” Lua said. He said that he is waiting for the suspect to call back so he could inform him about the agreement the minister has done. PNGFM/pngfacts
