There's a possibility the Government's 2015 National Budget will be handed down earlier than expected.
Usually the Government hands down its money plan in November, however, it's likely to be handed down in October. This is due to the documentation of the Budget almost being completed on time. A government insider says all sessions with state agencies and departments have been completed including final budget submissions. The world's three major financiers, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the Asian Development Bank, have also predicted a 21 percent global economic growth for PNG in 2015. The growth rate is based on the successful completion and delivery of the PNG LNG. According to the three international financiers, no other country has and will achieve the same growth rate as Papua New Guinea.
