The Papua New Guinea Prime Minister's 13 team is in Port Moresby ahead of its weekend fixture with Australia.
Coach Stanley Tepend said the team went into its first training run yesterday, before a medical and fitness check with Doctor James Naipao. Coach Tepend said he wants his team to jel. "Its a tight week so we're trying to punch everything up within this one week. "In general I think its pretty good, a couple of our bigger boys I think were struggling a bit, but as you said with the longer period where some teams finished the season off early, I think, the main focus was to see where their fitness was. "So I think in general it was pretty good, we will re-assess, but in saying that the whole week won't be about fitness, its just about jelling as a team because we can't worry too much about the fitness. "I think jelling is more important than fitness I think, with the time frame that we're given. "But in general, its pretty solid," coach Tepend said.
