Papua New Guinea thrashed Ireland 66-33 in their final group match at the Nations Cup netball tournament in Singapore last night but missed out on a spot in the final.
The Pepes finish the round robin phase in third overall with three wins, one draw and one loss. The two teams they failed to beat, Singapore or Uganda, will contest the grand final after recording big wins over Sri Lanka and the USA respectively. Uganda ran out comprehensive 28 goal winners when the teams met in pool play earlier in the week. PNG will play-off against Sri Lanka for third and fourth place with Ireland and the USA to clash in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon. Comments are closed.
