DEPUTY Police Commissioner Simon Kauba has been terminated from the Police Force.
Prime Minister Hon. Peter O’Neill announced the National Executive Council decision yesterday and announced the appointment of Assistant Commissioner Jim Andrews as the new acting Deputy Commissioner. "I want to announce that cabinet has revoked the appointment of Deputy Commissioner for Police Simon Kauba. He has been terminated forthwith as of 3 o’clock today (yesterday), and we have appointed Mr Jim Andrews, to be acting in that position." "He (Kauba) has been terminated because he is not complying to instructions given to him by command and control by the acting Commissioner of Police and he has been terminated in the interest of the nation. We cannot continue to have policemen and women who are employees of government running around trying to undermine government decisions. "Whether we like it or not if there are decisions that they disagree, they must go to the courts, that’s what the courts are there for." "I think it is important that we give confidence, we cannot continue to engage in this way where work of the police is continued to be undermine, we will terminate everybody who continue to undermine the work of the government. "This government has had enough, I am not going to put up with this little games anymore, we will make sure we continue to run this country for the good of the people and I think we have an obligation to do so,” Prime Minister Hon. Peter O’Neill said. Comments are closed.
