Police in the National Capital District will support the move taken by Governor, Powes Parkop to ban betel-nut in the city.
N-C-D Chief of Police Operations, Superintendent Perou N'dranou said, there's been a lack of policing due to capacity, however, with a new policing program they will improve on their policing duties. He stated, through the new policing program, they will work together with the N-C-D-C to ensure the ban is upheld. There are currently about 500 police personnel engaged in N-C-D. Governor, Parkop said, getting the police to back up N-C-D-C in enforcing the betel-nut ban has been an issue. He said due to capacity, its been challenge for police to attend to normal duties and support the ban. But Governor Parkop is commending N-C-D police for their efforts. Comments are closed.
