Meanwhile, National Capital District Governor and strong advocate of West Papua, Powes Parkop, says he will fight for the rights of the three West Papuans, now in police custody.
Mr. Parkop says, he will defend the trio, if they are found to have broken the country's laws. Police arrested the three members of the West Papuan community, involved in the ‘Free West Papua Campaign P-N-G” walk for freedom, following a peaceful march from Unagi Oval at Gordons suburb, to the N-C-D-C City Hall. At the City Hall premises, Mr Parkop addressed the West Papuan Community and briefly hoisted the Morning Star, the flag of West Papua for a few minutes only, before lowering it to mark the Free West Papua campaign P-N-G.
