Koim has brushed aside criticism by the Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill of his travel to Australia was trying to undermine the national interest. The Prime Minster in a media statement earlier this week claims, Koim is trying to convince the Australian Government , to suspend the billion Kina plus Development Assistance Program, with P-N-G. Sam Koim when asked by NBC news had denied out-right all the allegations. O'Neill also in the statement claims , Koim's attempts means, he wants to stop Health and Education programs, and other community projects that benefit the people. He adds, Koim doesn't care what damage his actions will cause to Papua New Guineans. However, Sam Koim has denied all these allegations saying, his travel to Australia was to attend an Anti Corruption Meeting there and also to correct the wrong impression people had on the countrys institutions, as leaders reportedly labeling state institutions as politically compromised. Koim further clarified that he did not go to international media to stop the aid program in PNG, rather to put things into perspective. Comments are closed.
