Three remote schools are the proud recipients of funding assistance from the Japanese Government, amounting to about 660-thousand Kina.
These are Professor Schindler Primary in Tairora and Gadsup Local Level Government areas of Eastern Highlands, Kil Primary at South Ambenob in Madang and Umsang Primary in Lae, Morobe province. This money was given through the Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects. It will be used to build new classrooms at the three schools, to cater for the increased student population, this year. Representatives from the three schools, will sign contract agreements with the Japanese Ambassador to P-N-G, Hiroharu Iwasaki, tomorrow. The Grant program began in 1989 and as of March this year, over 250 grassroots projects have been implemented nationwide, amounting to over 35-million Kina. Comments are closed.
