There's reports of gunfire at the PNG-Indonesian border at Wutung, between Indonesian soldiers and the West Papua Revolutionary Army.
The gunfire started this morning, following the start of Indonesia's legislative elections. West Papua Revolutionary Army Commander Mathias Wenda, raised the Morning Star flag this morning, and conducted human rights awareness, at a stretch of land called the "No-Man's Land" between Skou and Wutung, when they received gunfire from Indonesian soldiers. A member of the revolutionary army Timothy Wenda, told NBC News, gunfire was still continuing at three o'clock this afternoon. Wenda says, there's also a presence of PNG Defence Force, keeping watch on the situation on the PNG side. Comments are closed.
