Deputy PM Rosso Asserts Morobe MPs' Loyalty to Pangu Pati and PM Marape Amidst Speculation21/1/2024
Papua New Guinea Deputy Prime Minister and Lae Open MP John Rosso have emphatically stated that the 10 Morobe MPs, including himself, will remain steadfastly committed to Pangu Pati and will support Prime Minister James Marape's leadership through the 2027 National General Elections. Speaking with conviction, Rosso, who also serves as the Minister for Lands and Physical Planning, dispelled any rumors suggesting a potential departure from the ruling Pangu Pati alongside the Morobe MPs. He made it abundantly clear that any changes to the current government could only occur through legitimate processes, either on the floor of Parliament during a Vote of No Confidence or through the electoral choices made by the people. Rosso assured Prime Minister James Marape of his continued support, emphasizing that Pangu Pati remains unified and resolute in its objectives moving forward. The seasoned businessman turned politician downplayed political speculations, likening them to spectators cheering from the sidelines, emphasizing that it is the actions of the players that determine the outcome. During the official opening of the Tabubil-Telefomin Road in Western Province, Rosso urged the Opposition and other political factions to bring their concerns to the floor of Parliament instead of causing unnecessary public anxiety with baseless allegations. His statements underscored a commitment to stability within the Pangu Pati ranks and a focus on constructive political processes. Also read Comments are closed.
