Sanctuary Hotel owner Jamie Pang made his first appearance at PNG's Waigani Committal Court this week, since his re-arrest last week on a separate charge. Mr. Pang, an Australian citizen, is charged with a count of sexual penetration. He was arrested and charged following investigations into a video showing a young woman being threatened by a former policeman on October 15th last year not to report her alleged rape by Pang. The allegations against Pang is alleged to have occurred at his room at the Sanctuary Hotel on October 12th last year.
It also alleged that the drug was used in the process before the accused committed the offence on the victim. Pang is currently being held in remand at the Bomana prison.
