A teenaged male who attempted to rob a female lawyer at 5pm on Friday in Port Moresby was subdued by security guards and handed over to NCD Police. The youngster allegedly confronted the woman near the National Achieves and produced a knife, but his would-be victim fled the scene before security guards saw the commotion and responded. He was quickly disarmed and apprehended before being taken to the Boroko Police Station.
The victim fell while fleeing, and sustained an abrasion on her knee, but she was thankful for the combined security and police effort which resulted in the arrest of this suspect.
