An Asian man has been arrested and charged for breaching State of Emergency orders in Bougainville. The man who manages the BCM Bakery in Buka Town was arrested and charged yesterday (Mon 30.03) after police received a tip-off that he was still operating his shop despite orders issued for all bakeries to stop operations during the SoE period. State of Emergency Controller and Chief of Bougainville Police, Deputy Commissioner, Francis Tokura confirmed in a statement today (Tue 31.03) that the Asian man was apprehended by police with over K1,000 worth of bakery products.
