The final report on the inquiry to declare PNG as a Christian country will be presented to the Government this month. This comes after the Commissioners of the Constitutional and Law Reform Commission (CLRC) endorsed the final report. The Commission’s Secretary, Dr Mange Matui says the report in two volumes, will be presented to the Government, for tabling in the August sitting of Parliament. Dr Matui says the report and the Inquiry itself including the nationwide consultation were completed in a record time of six weeks despite limited funding and Covid-19 challenges.
He says the normal inquiries for constitutional directives usually takes 18 months to two years to complete. NBC News / PNGfacts Next : PNG PM Marape Trusts Bank South Pacific (BSP) Comments are closed.
