The National Court has thrown out Prime Minister’s bid to stave off warrants of arrest . This means, Prime Minister O’neill will go through Police interview on the payments paid to Paraka Lawyers and in found guilty, he will be formally arrested.
However, it is up to the Acting police commissioner to enforce arrest or withdraw it. The power now rests with Mr Vaki to use his powers to enforce or withdraw the warrant of arrest. It is believed Mr Vaki is on his way to see the Prime Minister. Mr Vaki was appointed by NEC during the drama of the warrant of arrest. His appoint was done after Sir Tom Kulunga stepped down due to his jail term. And it was during this drama that two key lead investigators into the Paraka case who served PM the arrest of warrant were suspended when Vaki took office. The PM suspended Simon Kauba while Mr Vaki suspended Mr Eluh. The warrant of arrest files are with Mr Vaki. Comments are closed.
