A senior director at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade office was murdered yesterday in his office by one of his own officers using a bush knife. The reasons for the murder is not yet known.
The deceased from Oro province was stabbed and slashed to death behind closed doors in his office by an officer from Tari in Southern Highlands. Police say the cold blooded murder took place around 11:30am as the director was preparing for a meeting with his staff for the upcoming Japan Prime Minister’s visit. Acting NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’Dranou says about three or four staff who were at the office at the time heard the noise but could not get past the locked office door. Police were called in after the murder but the victim died from loss of blood. “The suspect escaped from the office at that time and police went out even to the airport to make sure that he does not fly out.” Police investigations are still continuing. Comments are closed.
