Papua New Guinea has appointed another woman judge . She is Justice Leka Nablu who has been appointed a permanent judge in the PNG Judiciary, bringing the number to four. Justice Leka Nablu who served as an acting Judge since her appointment in 2014, has been elevated by the PNG Judicial and Legal Services Commission. Her appointment is for 10-years. Judicial Services Commission Chairman and Justice Minister Ano Pala said Justice Nablu's appointment is to allow for continuous stability in delivering justice to the people. She hails from Morobe and Central provinces and had served the judiciary for 2 years before her permanent appointment. Prior to this, she served 14 years as Legal Officer with the Internal Revenue Commission and has a masters in Law from Sydney University. Other female judges include, Justices Catherine Davani, Hitele Kiele Polume and Berna Collier.
