Treasurer and Chairman of World Bank and International Monetary Fund Board of Governors, Don Polye arrived in the country yesterday satisfied with outcomes of the annual World Bank and IMF meeting in Washington D.C, United States.
Mr Polye told the news conference, World Bank and IMF are becoming crucial to the existence the country's vibrant economy, and there must be collective partnership with other countries in order for PNG's economy to progress. He said, developed countries are now looking towards the developing countries to integrate their economies, thus PNG is at top of the list in terms of economic development, given the confidence, recognition, and respect by other countries.
