Chairmen's and Chief Executive Officers of State-Owned Entities, have been
told to either perform, or resign voluntarily from office. State Enterprise Minister, Ben Micah made this call during the signing of a Code of Good Governance with the Independent Public Business Corporation and Heads of all S-O-E's, in Port Moresby, today. Micah's call comes amidst public criticism through the media and on the streets, of S-O-E's like P-N-G Power and Telikom among others, not performing to standard and providing effective services. He's blamed poor management of the S-O-E's pulling down businesses, despite Government boosting them with enough facilities and capacity. Micah said, such performance depicts a bad image of government, therefore warned the Chairmen and C-E-O's to either shape up, or ship out. Comments are closed.
