The PNG Air ground operations safety team members in Port Moresby flow up to Mt. Hagen this morning on board the new ATR 72-600 aircraft with their ground operations aircraft training Manager to conduct a training program for ground operations staffs. The safety training consisted of classroom theory and operations practical were ground operations staffs totaling up to 142 were taught the general safety procedures of the new aircraft. Training Manager Ms. Faith Cele stated that safety is paramount for PNG Air and its passengers are number one priority when it comes to flying with their new aircraft, the ATR 72-600. PNG Air airlines safety team also traveled to Goroka and Madang to conduct and complete their practical assessment training and also to test and satisfy that all ground operations staffs understand and can carry out the new aircraft safety checking procedure in the future. The new aircraft had its first trip up to Mt. Hagen on Sunday where it was welcomed in a big way.
