FORMER University of Natural Resources and Environment Oro Campus is set to resume classes next year 2017 after an indefinite closure this year. Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology Francis Marus today confirmed that the now Eastern Papua Technological Institute is set to resume classes after enrolments are completed during the National Selections this month for a start in 2017 and going forward. He said an appropriation of K1m which was earmarked for the institute had been parked under UNRE account and these funds will be returned to the department before it is remitted to the Eastern Papua Institute.
