Opposition Leader Belden Namah, has criticised the Government of paying an Israeli company for two turbine power generators for Port Moresby and Lae, as scandalous.
Speaking in Port Moresby, Namah alleged Prime Minister Peter O'Neil of directing a 50-million Kina payment to company L-R Group, without proper advice. Namah alleges, that all these were pre-arranged and proper processes by-passed. Mr. O'Neill responded in a statement, saying the allegations were politically motivated, to destabilize attempts by his Government, to address the country's power problems. Meantime, Acting PNG Power boss Chris Bias, says they are still waiting for the two gas turbine power generators to arrive in the country. Comments are closed.
