Volcano experts at the Rabaul Volcano Observatory say they did not expect Mount Tavurvur to erupt that soon,despite knowing there's going to be eruption.
Office-in-charge of the Observatory, Nima Itikarai told NBC's Monin Tru program this morning, it was sudden eruption, and activities occurred fast, leaving the observatory, less time to disseminate information. But, Mr Itikarai said, that they had, over the months, announced that there was going to be an eruption. In the meantime, activities on Mount Tavurvur have ceased as of yesterday. Mr. Itikarai said activities slowed down as of yesterday afternoon. Comments are closed.
