Frustrated youths of Lae have presented their 9 point petition to the Governor Kelly Naru with a 7 day deadline for a response to their concerns. Included in the petition, is a call for a total ban on street vending in the Province and a zero tolerance on petty crimes. Governor Naru gave his word that he will look into the petition and address the 9 points accordingly in due time. The city remains quiet, with shops remaining closed, schools shuts and most residents taking extra care while moving around the city, as the situation on ground returns slowly to normalcy, Police however are still monitoring the city at this stage. Police Boss, Kaiglo told media that the YALU roadblock along Markham has been removed, with the assistance of Governor, Kelly NARU. Air Nuigini has earlier on today announced that flights to Nadzap were cancelled.
