The Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee has begun releasing money to Team PNG athletes who competed at the 15th Pacific Games in Port Moresby in July this year.
The Olympic Committee's Secretary General, Auvita Rapilla said the medal and participation incentives is an excellent initiative recognizing the athletes’ hard work, commitment and achievements at the Games. All athletes were asked to provide their full bank details so that funds can be paid directly into their account. Mrs. Rapilla congratulated the athletes and thanked Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill on behalf the government for supporting sports and recognizing the unprecedented achievement of Team PNG athletes.
