The more established companies in P-N-G are focusing on employing more locals over expatriates because it is cheaper and more stable.
Lae manufacturing company, K-K Kingston is one such company implementing this strategy. Chief Executive Officer, Michael Kingston says, most expatriates in PNG save up money and move on while locals can stay for decades. Mr Kingston told Business Advantage PNG, the challenge, however, is to get locals into positions of senior management.
