Traffic came to a standstill this morning from the Freeway to the Docks after a land slip blocked off the road leading to downtown Port Moresby. A police officer at the site of the landslip says the continuous heavy rains in the past two days caused the slip to occur in the early hours of this morning. Vehicles can be seen in long queues starting at the Burns Peak part of the free down to Konedobu in the heavy downpour. However, work is now being carried out by the city authority to clear the road of the slip and is hoped the road will be cleared for traffic to flow smoothly this afternoon. PNGFM
