Prices of fuel products in the country have decreased today, July 8, 2019. The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission announced this, saying the changes in the retail prices are attributed to the decrease in the import parity prices. In Port Moresby, petrol is selling at K3.42 per litre, a decrease of 20 toea from last month's price. Diesel and kerosene prices have also fallen to K3.19 and K2.91 per litre respectively. Retail prices in all other designated centres will change according to their approved in-country shipping and road freight rates that are charged by the fuel wholesalers. ICCC officers will conduct spot checks to ensure fuel prices do not exceed the allowable maximum price.
