Police Fraud Squad Directorate has prevented Acting Police Commissioner Geoffrey Vaki from interfering with their investigations relating to Paraka Matter and the consequent arrest warrant of the PM.
The Fraud Squad made an urgent application today at the National Court, saying Vaki was showing too much interest in the matter unlike other investigations where offences were investigated and prosecuted by assigned officers without having to produce every file to the Commissioner. Judge Ambeng Kandakasi said to maintain the status quo, Vaki is not to interfere with the investigations of the Fraud Squad. The matter returns to court next Tuesday.
