The National Court in Waigani will hear lawyers make submissions on the type of penalty convicted Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga should be slapped with, today (Tuesday).
Kulunga appealed at the National Court two weeks ago to impose a lighter sentence on him due to his long service and that it was not his intention to disobey court orders. He's being charged with contempt of court, for disobeying a court order in 2012, to reinstate former top-cop Geoffery Vaki. Meantime, Kulunga's lawyer Alfred Manase was blasted for not following court processes, when he asked that the case at the National Court be delayed, while he wanted to start a case at the Supreme Court, to stop the case at the National Court.
