Northern Governor Gary Juffa's move to shut down illegal foreign-owned businesses in the province, has been slammed by Member for Ijivitari, David Arore. Mr. Arore claims such action only tarnishes the image of the province, and discourages potential investors. This is not the first time Governor Juffa and Mr. Arore have not seen eye-to-eye on issues affecting the province. While Governor Juffa maintains the move is done in the interest of the people, Mr. Arore thinks otherwise. He says the Province does not belong to any one politician, and the matter needed to be dealt with responsibly by all leaders.(insert - We cannot drive around like mad lunatics, intimidating and terrorizing businesses. We have to stop this nonsense). He says there are systems, processes and institutions in place to deal with illegal foreign business operators. Mr. Arore says the growth in the province's SME has been stagnant due to no funding from the Provincial Government, and the current move only kills what little service the people receive.
