More than 500 women die from cervical cancer every year in the country while its also estimated that two women die from the disease every day. These were statistics provided by NCD’s Health Advisor Dr Gary Ouú. According to Dr Ou;u, these numbers provide realistic evidence of what these disease is doing to the women in PNG and the general public must understand the importance of doing early check-up in order to prevent more deaths in the country. Dr Ouu said his team is partnering with the PNG Cancer foundation to down awareness on HPV Vaccination and cancer screening for women.
