Hiding the Website URL Field in Weebly Blog Comment Section [Solved]

1. Sign in to Weebly. Head over to www.weebly.com, log in using your credentials, and go to your site dashboard.
2. Choose the site to edit.
3. From your list of websites, click “Edit Site” on the site where you want to hide the comment field.
4. Access the Theme section.
5. Once inside the editor, click on the “Theme” tab at the top of the page.
6. Open the code editor.
7. In the Theme panel, scroll down and click the “Edit HTML/CSS” button at the bottom left. This will open the code editor.
8. Locate your main stylesheet.
9. In the sidebar of the code editor, look under the STYLES section and find a file named main.less or something similar (it may be a .css or .scss file depending on your theme).
10. Scroll to the end of the file.
11. Open that file and go down to the bottom of the code so you can insert new styling safely.
12. Paste the following CSS snippet:

8. Understand what this code does.

• It hides the Website input box itself.
• It hides the label that says “Website” beside it.
• It also targets any container or wrapper element that holds the Website field.

9. Save your changes.

• Click the blue “Save” button at the top-right of the code editor.

10 Publish your site.

• After saving, click the “Publish” button in the top-right corner of the main editor to apply the changes to your live site.

Test it out.

• Open a blog post on your site and scroll to the comments section. You should no longer see the Website field.

• Now your comment form looks cleaner, and you’ve removed a common entry point for spammers.
