The 2018 Esiloan Port Moresby AFL competition kicks of this Saturday with the Lighting 12’s for the men’s division only as confirmed by the Port Moresby AFL Advisory Board during their first meeting of the year held last week Thursday. Sitting in Chairman, Mr Loi Bakani said the “Lightning 12” pre-season will have a prize money up for grabs and also will encourage the teams to get organized for the 2018 season which is likely to start after Easter. Last year the season was disrupted with the national election on and the International Cup in which the PNG Mosquitoes won it Back-to Back. This year will see a smooth and fast season for Port Moresby and also will be looking forward to getting teams ready for the Seniors National Championships, which will be confirmed in a few weeks. Last year's champions Lamana Dockers, runner ups Koboni, Bomana Cats, Oilmin Kokofas, West Eagles and Gereka Bombers have confirmed their participation in this year’s competition. The Board also has called all the clubs to meet this afternoon at 5:30pm at the Colts oval to register their teams and pick up the draws as well. Comments are closed.
