One of the players for the PNG Resident 13 team, Mark Mexico, has been recruited to play for the Redcliffe rugby league club in the Queensland Cup competition.
Mexico plays prop for the Lae Snax Tigers in the semi professional Digicel Cup competition. The Redcliffe rugby league club approached the Engan lad at the weekend, after his outstanding performance in the Cabramatta 9s a fortnight ago and against the South Sydney Rabithos on Saturday. PNG Resident Team Manager, Kera Ngaffin (NAFFIN), says Mexico flew from Sydney to Brisbane yesterday to join his new club. Meantime, Gurias prop and five times Kumuls appearance, Rodney Pora, is set to head to England. He's been recruited to play in the club that another Kumuls, Jessie Joe Parker, is playing for.
