PAPUA New Guinea-based Wira Wama and Kema Jack will join the Kalyanji Pala Labasa soccer side this Friday for the Courts Inter District Championship (IDC).
Labasa Football Association secretary Nilesh Lal said the duo would join the remaining players who were in camp since Wednesday last week. Lal said the inclusion of Wama and Jack, who featured for the northerners in the Battle of the Giants tournament this year, would boost their IDC title defence campaign. He said the team was undergoing intense training sessions under the guidance of co-coaches Ivor Evans and Bal Sanju Reddy. "All the players have joined the team except for Taniela Waqa who had some personal commitments to deal with," Lal said. Waqa was to have joined the team late yesterday. Meanwhile, Lal said the Babasiga Lions were on track to defend the title at Ba's Govind Park. The IDC starts next week Wednesday. Fiji Times Comments are closed.
