Commentary by Peter Kaii 2022 will be an election of "anybody's game". This simply means that the party alignment has split when Marape, O'Neill, Basil, Abel and Ipatas shifted and joined ranks with different parties. Despite PNC's lost numbers, the party leader O'Neill remains. THE PANGU The Marape- Steven Government will not last after 2022 given the fact that the party is not standing on a solid foundation. Pangu is a Morobe-block party. Marape's elevation is at the helm of the game of convenience. Pangu will not gain Morobe's favor simply because of religious alignment. Morobe is a Lutheran province and that would not bring back MPs who go to election under Pangu's Adventist this time.
Pangu Party executives on the other end are more powerful because of their party constitution. They have mercilessly removed Hon Sam Basil . They still have the power to decide the party leadership. This has made it very difficult for flexibility. Pangu does not have a hausman in the Highlands. Most MPs who are now serving under the Pangu will definitely drop Pangu and join ranks with a party that would assist them resources for election and has a proven record of national development. The Morobean MPs would most likely team up with Hon Basil's United Labour Party. THE PNC The People's National Congress has a fair chance of making a "comeback " in 2022 due to the fact that it has proven track records despite it's borrowings' accusations. PNC will be judged in 2022 and be tested to see if it has got numbers. PNC's policies on Infrastructure development, Free education, Free Health Care were delivering. The candidates endorsed by PNC would make it come 2022. They have a greater chance of being in the race. Remember school fees is the lifeline of people. OTHER POLITICAL PARTIES Now smaller parties have a greater chance of upsetting big ones. People are fed up with Pangu and PNC's infighting. It is predicted that smaller parties will win!
