The following piece of information was put forward by Prime Minister James Marape after Opposition Leader refile a case challenging his election as Prime Minister. A paradox of time and character; BN in 2011, intoxicated with political power was forcing Supreme Court shut in a contest of two governments then; Somare Government that court and constitution recognized yet Belden Namah shut down Supreme Court protecting O’Neill government. Irony of it is today 9 years on, BN goes to the same court asking it to remain open to read the constitution he flaunted back then.
Times and sessions and man can change but good law never does. Laws remain tall as hallmarks and monuments of democracy. My team will not do stampedes, shouting, yelling , and barking orders in courtrooms but will present our lawful defense of my government in a civilized legal manner. Will see you to the end of earth. Bring it on! PMJM. Our View. PM Jame Marape blames Namah for attacking the courts and the constitution during the political impasse in former O'Neill govt. However both Members later were blessed with ministerial portfolios in the O'Neill governement. Namah apologized to the courts and the people for causing constitutional crisis that time. He vowed to uphold and defend the constitution and he is doing that now. Namah is defending the constitution. He has the right to go the courts. PM Marape should not fear but defend the CEO Post. CEO post belong to the people of this country. Anyone has the right to get it...Goodluck both! Comments are closed.
