A woman is dead and her family seriously hospitalised in Simbu, after a car ploughed through their home overnight, during the first State Of Origin match.
The family was retiring to bed after the Game, when the car smashed into their home, flattening the woman. Provincial Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Albert Beli could not release the number of family members, but says all are critically injured. "The vehicle that one was driving went off the road into a private premises killing one female, several people in the house, they all seriously problem made by the vehicle and as a result they were rushed to the general hospital here in Kundiawa, number of death is yet to be confirmed." - PPC Beli Mr. Beli says, the drunk driver has been arrested and will be charged accordingly.
