Sports and National Event Minister, Justin Tkatchenko says the recent stand-off between the disciplined forces is NOT healthy for the country.
He said this when expressing his disappointment over actions of the so-called discipline forces. Mr. Tkatchenko says, NOT only is this sending a wrong message to the outside world, but causing fear and anxiety among city residents. The minister said, such standoff between disciplined forces will impact the country's preparations for the 2015 Pacific Games and APEC 2018. "I have faith in the disciplinary forces and the police. "Its only a minor, minor few that spoiled it for the majority. "So I hope the police hierarchy and the defence hierarchy will get to discipline soldiers and others involved, and the let them be punished for doing the wrong thing because we can't continue on like this. "Its for our country as well and for our city. "People are scared to go out now. "People are scared about whats gonna happen next. "Its not good and sends a bad message," Minister Tkatchenko said.
